Ping Zhu is an illustrator based in Brooklyn, New York. Made for clients big and small, her work layers bright swaths of colors in the form of bold brushstrokes. The resulting compositions seem to leap from the page—or screen—long after the gouache has dried. Her work has been recognized by fancy institutions as well as her parents. One of her favorite sensations is of laying down on a sun-baked rock near a body of water.
